U.S.A. Becoming North Korea

U.S.A. Becoming North Korea

You guys like that title? Got your attention, didn't it?

Well, I will get to that in a minute but for now I want to let you all know that I was able to install a feature on my blog that lets me know how many visitors I get to the blog. This is to let me know if this is worth it. To keep on posting here and sharing with you all I have learned to get to financial independence in the hopes that, wherever you are, it will help you live a better life knowing that money is not one of your problems.

Here is a screenshot of my visitors since I activated the monitoring addon yesterday, Jan 28.

217 visitors. I am fine with that. Just knowing that the ones who do visit my blog know that in no time they too will make better financial decisions and best of all not get addicted to the consumerism model that we live in today. Buy, buy.

Back to North Korea

I have never been to North Korea but based on what the news say and what they feed us, North Korea is a country where its citizens have no rights and freedom. Their economy is isolated and as a result it is in bad shape.

That is where my analogy comes into play. We in the USA are becoming like North Korea. And I don't mean losing our rights and freedom. I mean we are becoming isolated from an economic perspective.

International Trading Markets

President Donald Trump has gone mad running the country like it is one of his businesses. I don't think he understand anything about economic policy and its implications. His economic advisors are behaving like puppets now and perhaps because they don't want to miss out on a fat salary, they don't say anything.

Tariffs. He just announced a 25% tariff hike on South Korea. A couple of weeks ago, he also threating European countries with tariff if they did not support the United States getting Greenland (or as he likes to refer the USA as I and my) I will increase tariff, I want Greenland, I and I. Starting to sound like the dude from North Korea where all the generals and people around him just clap and smile.

Trading partners from Europe, Canada, South America are already starting to sign deals to trade. Leaving us USA out of the whole picture. We may not feel it now but in a few years, when these countries start to trade we will be left out in the dark with nobody to trade. We will become isolated, economically and financially isolated to be precise.

The Dollar

Yes, the value of the dollar will be worth little in international markets when Europe, Asia, Middle East and Latin America start to adopt another currency to trade with. The Euro?

Some of our USA companies will undoubtably go belly up and close shop. Some will survive by selling to the domestic market but exporting will be too expensive and worse of all our allies will not want to buy from us knowing that any minute a president like Trump can come to the White House and start to threating them with tariffs and economic sanctions. Believe me, these countries have learned their lesson today and will look for other partners.

Stock Market

You guessed it. The stock market will suffer too as a result of this isolation and silly economic tactics the administration is using.

Don't be surprised if your retirement accounts drop in value. And the only way to save these accounts is by investing in international stocks in China, South Korea, Germany, France, etc. So all the money will go to foreign countries because they will be the ones delivering dividends, growth and profits.

Clearly the US Government (or as Trump likes to say, I) is heading in the wrong direction. We will pay the financial price in the next one to five years. You can come back to this post in 2027 and let me know how you are doing financially.

That is all for now followers.

I will track how many visitors I get. I get visitors from all countries. It is a good feeling knowing that I am helping YOU become free from money worries.

The Chief out!
